The book “Love of My Life: Memoirs of a Love Lost” came about after a trip I took to Africa in September 2008. While there, I met an amazing man named Nick Were Odoyo. Nick and I fell in love and began dating. Because it was a long distance relationship, we had lots of time to write. For a while, that was our preferred method of communication. I kept all of these writings throughout our relationship for sentimental value. I published these writings after a tragic accident took away what we once thought would be a life together.
